Sos1/2 depletion enhances cell invasion. (A) Transmigration of MEFs of the indicated genotype into Matrigel plugs in an inverted invasion assay. After staining with Calcein-AM (green) living cells were visualized by confocal microscopy. Serial optical sections were acquired at 2.5 μm intervals and 5 μm intervals are shown alongside one another, with increasing depth from left to right as indicated. Scale bar: 100 μm. (B) Quantification of invasion is expressed as percentage of the field covered with cells at the indicated depths. Data shown are means ± SD of two independent experiments. One-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparison test was applied. **p < 0.01 vs. the rest of experimental groups; ## p < 0.01 vs. Sos1KO and Sos1/2DKO
